The sixth High-Level Assembly meeting of the CCAC will take place on 20 May in Geneva on the margins of the World Health Organization’s World Health Assembly. Building on a global recognition that air quality is an important prerequisite to human health and well-being, this Assembly will acknowledge a strong nexus between mitigation of short-lived climate pollutants and improved public health. Bringing together both Environment and Health Ministers will facilitate a discussion about multiple benefits from SLCP reductions, including improved air quality that can help save millions of lives and improve people’s health.
